A straight-talking guide to annuities for North Texas retirees
RetireNorthTexas exists to explain annuities honestly, then connect you with one real, licensed advisor, not a lead-selling network dressed up to look bigger than it is.
Why we built this site
Search for "annuity advisor" and you will find plenty of sites with headshots of smiling strangers, counters claiming thousands of people "matched," and walls of insurance-carrier logos implying a massive vetted network. We did not want to build another one of those. RetireNorthTexas is a regional, honest alternative: plain-English education on how annuities actually work, and a direct connection to one licensed North Texas advisor when you are ready to talk.
What we are, specifically
We are a lead-generation and education site. We do not sell annuities ourselves, and we are not a licensed insurance agency. When you submit your information, it goes to ADVISOR NAME PLACEHOLDER at FIRM NAME PLACEHOLDER, a Texas-licensed advisor serving the North Texas / DFW area, who pays us a referral fee if you choose to work with them. You never pay us anything.
Our vetting standard, honestly stated
We do not publish a fabricated checklist of background checks we have not actually run. Here is the real, honest standard: any advisor we work with must hold an active Texas Department of Insurance license to sell annuities in Texas, and must be held to Texas's required best-interest standard when recommending an annuity. We do not work with advisors who use high-pressure sales tactics, and we will stop referring to any advisor who does.
What we do not do
- We do not publish fabricated statistics about how many people we have "matched" or how many advisors are in a network.
- We do not publish fake testimonials, stock-photo headshots passed off as real reviews, or an insurance-carrier logo wall implying a verified relationship we do not have.
- We do not charge retirees anything, at any point.
Serving North Texas
We currently focus on Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Southlake, Flower Mound, Arlington and the surrounding Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. If you are nearby but do not see your city listed, reach out anyway, we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
